Bricmont is a leader in high temperature applications which leads us to design equipment
for a variety of uses, such as mercury recovery.
Mercury recovery furnaces are used to remove hazardous mercury from contaminated soil. The charge is loaded onto trays, which are themselves loaded into the furnace. The door is closed and the soil is heated to the point where the mercury evaporates. The mercury laced fume from the furnace is collected for further processing. The remediated soil is returned to site after cooling.
Mercury recovery furnaces are mobile and are easily re-located to contaminated sites. This minimizes transport costs of the contaminated soil. They are electrically heated to assure efficient collection of the fume. |
